17 Prayers for Guidance in Decision Making

We all have to make decisions every day of our lives. And we must constantly make sure that the decisions we make are always God's Will and not ours.

God is very interested in our choices. That is why He not only wants us to make the right decisions, but He also wants to guide us in making those decisions. Indeed, God knows the desires of our heart, but above all, He knows what is best for us and He plans to reveal it to us and show us what we should do. Therefore, to be successful in making good decisions every day of our lives, we need to clearly understand what the Bible teaches us about God's ways and pray for guidance in making decisions by asking for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

Making a decision can be very stressful. Indeed, we are often confronted with situations that require us to make important decisions that when taken wrongly can greatly affect us. Unfortunately, we sometimes make the mistake of dismissing prayer and not trusting God for guidance in making decisions.

In this sense, the apostle Paul encourages us in Philippians 4:6-7 by saying: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Father God, Your word says that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask, and You will give them generously. I am about to make a huge decision in my life, but I don’t know how to go about it, Father God. I come to You today to ask You for wisdom. Gracious Father, I am dealing with a very complex situation right now. I need Grace during this time so that I can do the right thing.
