Our Lord, our Father,
through the Holy Father Saint Joseph of Anchieta,
you have evangelized our Brazil.
He loved the poor and those who suffered.
It softened and healed his ills,
and he knew how to be in solidarity with the Indians,
helping them to know and love you
in their own language and customs.
For this reason, beloved Father,
through the intercession
of the holy Father Saint José de Anchieta,
whom I admire and cherish,
