Prayer For Blessing of Eggs
We pray Thee, O Lord, may the grace of Thy benediction come down upon these eggs, that they may be healthful food for Thy people who eat them in thanksgiving for the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who liveth with Thee and ruleth for all eternity.

V. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
R. Who has made heaven and earth.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
Let us pray:
We beg of You, Lord,
to let the grace of Your blessing
come upon these eggs which You have made.
May they be healthful food for Your people,
who eat them in thanksgiving
for the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and is King with You for ever and ever.
R. Amen.
(Then the eggs are sprinkled with holy water.)
