Prayer For Patience With Friends
Psalm 86:15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Patience is truly a virtue. So many aspects of our lives call for patience, whether it be waiting in line at the grocery store or holding on for a brighter tomorrow. Regardless of what you’re waiting for, know that God is always with us, both for the good and the bad in life. Bible verses about patience teach us that we must be patient in His plan for us, especially when we are going through some hard times. And prayer for patience goes a long way.
Consider the value of patience in the bible: Joseph waited 13 years before God fulfilled His promise and Abraham waited 25 years for a divine encounter with God through a burning bush. Meanwhile, Moses was left stranded in the wilderness for 40 years before God showed Him the way to the Promised Land and Jesus waited for 30 years to fulfill His role as our Savior. To make a person great, God breaks them first before putting the right pieces together.
We keep our friends close to our hearts, but some conflicts remain unavoidable. Nonetheless, we can find comfort in knowing these quarrels are temporary and only serve to strengthen the bonds we have with these people.
Lord Almighty, thank You for the gift of friendship. The friends I have made in this life are not just companions during times of hardship, as they are also family in my heart.
Thank You for blessing me with these people in my life, as each day has only become brighter and more fruitful with them around. I humbly pray that we may continue to be patient with one another, especially in times of aggravation and discord.
Patience is the foundation of our friendship, but it would be nothing without You holding us together. I pray that the bonds I share with these people I hold dear to me will continue to grow, just as Your love and patience is always cultivating around us. This I pray to You Lord, Amen.
