Prayer For Patience and Peace In Marriage
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Patience is truly a virtue. So many aspects of our lives call for patience, whether it be waiting in line at the grocery store or holding on for a brighter tomorrow. Regardless of what you’re waiting for, know that God is always with us, both for the good and the bad in life. Bible verses about patience teach us that we must be patient in His plan for us, especially when we are going through some hard times. And prayer for patience goes a long way.
Consider the value of patience in the bible: Joseph waited 13 years before God fulfilled His promise and Abraham waited 25 years for a divine encounter with God through a burning bush. Meanwhile, Moses was left stranded in the wilderness for 40 years before God showed Him the way to the Promised Land and Jesus waited for 30 years to fulfill His role as our Savior. To make a person great, God breaks them first before putting the right pieces together.
No marriage is perfect, but as bible verses about marriage teach us, being patient with one another can go a long way. This is why we must pray to the Lord for His guidance as we navigate through the hardships of marriage with our significant other.
Oh loving Father, thank You for blessing me with someone who is not only my partner in marriage but my partner in life as well. I pray that our love for each other continues to hold true, especially in times when doubt and temper cloud our judgment.
Humbly I pray to You, Lord, that You continue to watch over our marriage. I pray that we continue to be patient with and find peace in one another, as our marriage can only succeed when we are united as one.
Our union continues to be blessed because You are at the center of our marriage. You taught us that love is patient and kind, and I pray that we may never forget that as we continue to serve You. Amen.
